Dr. Seung Ho Choi
Dr. Seung-Ho Choi, an internal medicine and emergency room physician, is a co-founder of LAKMA, which he established together with Professor Yoon. With a deep belief in the power of music, he envisioned LAKMA as a way to bring light to a world often filled with confusion and hardship. Through a steadfast commitment to Peace, Unity, and Harmony, he continues to advance this vision through the work and community of LAKMA.

Im Sang Yoon
Maestro Im Sang Yoon serves as the Artistic Director and Conductor of LAKMA (Los Angeles Korean American Musician’s Association) and the conductor of the Prima Vera Opera Orchestra. He holds a Bachelor of Music in Voice from Chung-Ang University, a Master of Music in Choral Conducting from the University of Southern California (USC), and a Doctor of Musical Arts (D.M.A.) in Instrumental Conducting from the American Conservatory of Music (ACM). Since 2012, he has led annual performances at Walt Disney Concert Hall, earning critical acclaim for his passionate interpretations of major choral and orchestral works, including Verdi’s ‘Requiem’ and ‘La Traviata’. Currently, he is an Associate Professor and the Director of Music at World Mission University.
Artistic Director & Conductor

Wi Young Oh
Tenor Wi Young Oh is an internationally active performer and conductor whose artistry bridges operatic drama, sacred repertoire, and choral leadership across Korea and the United States. He earned degrees from Azusa Pacific University and International Theological Seminary and completed his Doctor of Musical Arts (D.M.A.) at World Mission University in 2025. He has appeared in leading roles at major venues such as Walt Disney Concert Hall and the Seoul Arts Center in productions including ‘Yoon Dong Joo’, ‘Samson and Dalila’, and ‘L’Elisir d’Amore’. Currently, he serves as a Professor of Voice at California Art University and conducts the KAMA Choir and Golden Chorale, serving as a musical bridge between cultures and communities.

Mimi Lee
Mimi Lee serves as the General Manager of LAKMA and is an active member of its leadership team. Sharing in LAKMA’s vision of promoting Peace and Harmony through music, she is dedicated to supporting the organization’s continued growth and future development.
Outside of LAKMA, she works as a Financial Professional, applying her professional expertise to ensure the mission and sustainability of the organization.
